Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-07-31.
Markboard is a self-hosted, markdown-native Kanban board. By creating an account or otherwise using this instance, you agree to these terms.
The service
This instance is operated by an individual, not a company, on a best-effort basis, provided “as is” and without any uptime or support guarantee. Features may change or be removed as the project evolves.
Your account and content
- You're responsible for keeping your credentials (password, or the Google/GitHub account you sign in with) secure.
- You own the boards, cards, comments, and files you create. You're responsible for making sure you have the right to upload anything you attach.
- Don't use the service to store or share illegal content, malware, or anything intended to abuse, harass, or attack other users or the service itself (including attempting to bypass rate limits or authorization checks).
- If you create an API key for AI-agent access, you're responsible for actions taken with it, the same as if you'd done them yourself.
Suspension and termination
The operator may suspend or remove an account or content that violates these terms, or shut down the service entirely, at their discretion.
No warranty, limited liability
The service is provided without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, the operator isn't liable for any damages arising from your use of (or inability to use) the service, including data loss — see the Privacy Policy for how your data is stored and backed up.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated as the service changes. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
